Eat the F*@ing Bread

Last weekend, I went to a wellness retreat/weekend getaway.

Last weekend, I went to a wellness retreat/weekend getaway. At one point we talked about mindful eating, being conscious about what you eat, and enjoying food. Then the discussion turned to bread. There was a collective groan about carbs and people started lamenting about how much they love bread but it’s so bad for you, it goes right to your belly, stay away from it, blah, blah, blah.

And I thought, eat the f*@ing bread.

Why do we deny ourselves something we love? I have. But the reality is, I love bread so why not enjoy it?

Why not enjoy simple pleasures? Indulge in something that makes you happy. Stop feeling guilty, stop denying yourself, and stop saying no every time and say yes once in awhile. Life is to be lived. Enjoy the moments. Savor what you can. And eat the f*ing bread.
