“There’s so much noise in the world today that we’ve forgotten to hear the beautiful sound of silence.”
— Steven Aitchison
Some days I love the city. I love walking along the city streets, seeing and hearing life buzzing all around. And some days I long for quiet. Today is one of those days. I notice that lately I am craving silence.
There’s a benefit to silence. I just read this from Project Happiness:
Recent studies are showing that taking time for SILENCE restores the nervous system, helps sustain energy, and conditions our minds to be more adaptive and responsive to the complex environments in which so many of us now live, work, and lead.
Hope you can take time to enjoy some quiet as you start your week. Make it a great week!
