So I’ve been thinking . . . what the heck happened to September? Seriously.
Have I been in hibernation? I am just now ready for fall so today should really be the day after Labor Day NOT September 30.
Thus, I’m behind in sharing some poignant turning of the season post. I’ll just say this, fall is my favorite season. Here are just a few reasons why I love fall:
- Sweater weather and sunny but cool days
- Warm, cushy socks
- Reading by my fireplace with a cozy fire sipping chai tea
- Fall colors
- Pumpkins and, yes, pumpkin spice
- An excuse to eat candy (Halloween!)
- NFL football season
What are some of your favorite–or not so favorite things–about fall?
I’ve been reading . . . The Book Thief. So close to being done but I’ll save my thoughts for next Friday. Have the next book waiting: We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. It’s the perfect season for it, right?
I’ve been watching . . . wild_life with bertie gregory. New episode this week!
I am trying out some other shows too. I watched The Good Place, the new comedy with Kristen Bell. Not bad. I also checked out old shows Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation. So Arrested Development is really funny. I’m just not sure how long I can stand the totally dysfunctional family.
I’ve been listening to . . . Cat Stevens still.
Have a wonderful weekend!
