Pet Peeve: It’s Like Fort Knox

What is up with some of the product packaging these days? It’s like breaking into Fort Knox to open up some packages

What is up with some of the product packaging these days? It’s like breaking into Fort Knox to open up some packages, especially those plastic molded, sealed-shut ones. If you actually even are able to open those up, watch out because you could cut yourself on that freaking sharp plastic edge. (I seriously cut my hand twice.) Who needs guns or knives for protection, just use the sharp shards of plastic packaging . . . if you can get it open.

I’m convinced that men are the ones who created this type of packaging (sorry guys) because no woman would ever make something that would ruin a fresh manicure. Look, I’m not prissy (or maybe I am, who cares?); I just want to open a package without it taking power tools and three hours of my time. Can we place a ban on plastic-molded product packaging that is more secure than Fort Knox?

I TOTALLY agree! Forget about trying to open the package nicely just in case you need to return the product!

Yep, I just try to open it any way I can–without having to get stitches! 🙂

Agreed! I’ll never forget a bit Ellen DeGeneres did in her stand-up years ago. She talked about how you need scissors to get into the new scissors you bought. And yet lightbulbs are basically packed in tissue paper. Always so annoying when you get something packed in one of those! You are not alone

Oh my god, she’s so funny! And I totally agree with Ellen.
