Indecision is not a pretty thing. Hey, I get it, we all have our moments. But I’ve got a pet peeve about the “maybe” RSVPs. What’s with those?
I can remember a time, back in the olden days, when people RSVPed promptly with a clear “yes” or “no.” “Maybe” was never an option. It was unthinkable actually. No one ever said maybe. But now, IF people reply at all (what has gotten into people? were they raised by wolves?), it’s a “maybe.” The unspoken answer is “I’m replying ‘maybe’ because something better may come along but I don’t want to be left doing nothing just in case nothing else comes up so I guess I’ll maybe come to your event if there is nothing else to do.” Really? Sorry, but I think the “maybe” response is just plain rude.
