In spite of all going on in the world, there is good. With all the stories of hate and negativity streaming on the news and in social media, I look for stories of hope, courage, and love.
I cried when I first saw this video. I was so moved. This Muslim man was very brave to stand in a Paris Square blindfolded with his arms open, completely vulnerable. He’s not the only person to do this. It turns out it’s part of a blind trust project that some Muslims are doing all over the world—in Toronto, Cincinnati, Stockholm. It fills my heart with love to see the heart-warming results. And it gives me hope for humanity.
I know many people saw this on Facebook, still I’m posting it here. This man lost his wife in the Paris attacks, and still he shares a message of love. He shares so vulnerably his feelings and how he will not hate. Beautifully said. Makes me believe that good and love will prevail.
Not many people knew about or followed the bombings in Beirut that happened just one day before the attacks in Paris. I read this story and was in awe. This man risked his life to save so many others, and save he did. Adel Termos’ bravery and action saved the lives of 200 people.
These are just a few stories coming to light now, and I know there will be others. I’ll keep looking for them. What inspiring stories have you been reading about?
