So I’ve been thinking . . . about squeaky shoes. It’s been a rough week and this made me laugh. Now I know exactly what to do when I’m feeling grouchy.
I’ve been reading . . . Finally finished Unbecoming by Rebecca Sherm. I didn’t like it. It tried too hard to be like Gone Girl but it wasn’t as interesting or riveting. Unlikable characters, like in Gone Girl, but in this case, not surprising, revealing, or going into the deep, dark underbelly of human character. Too much “tell,” and not enough “show” in this book.
I’ve been watching . . . well, nothing really. It’s been a busy week with work and writing. And I’ve run out of good things to watch.
I’ve been listening to . . . NPR Fresh Air podcasts. So I’m probably the only person on the planet who doesn’t like Terry Gross as an interviewer. (After listening to her, I’m kind of shocked that people do.) What I do like are the interviewees. I listen to these podcasts when I am on the elliptical, and it helps the time fly by. Just listened the interview with Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang about their new show Master of None. I was laughing out loud!
