So I’ve been thinking . . . How good is this chocolate tea I just made? Totally hits the spot. Today my chocolate craving surfaced. And since I have virtually nothing that resembles chocolate at home—and I’m too lazy to go to the store—what to do?
You get creative, that’s what you do. I have hot chocolate. I have a little bit of milk, and I have plenty of tea. I love tea. An idea starts to brew. (Pun intended.) I created my own concoction of hot chocolate mixed with vanilla bean tea. And it was goooooood. Just a little something that made me happy this week. What is one of the little things in life that makes you happy?
I’ve been reading . . . Did You Ever Have a Family by Bill Clegg. This was a quick read, and I finished it on my trip to Portland. I’m mixed about this one. I was into it but I found myself editing it. To me, that’s always a sign it’s not a great story. There were too many unnecessary descriptions that I felt were distracting.
I’ve been watching . . . The Martian, the movie. It was pretty true to the book. The Mars scenes and special effects were stunning. Some of the acting was off, and the movie didn’t build enough tension, but in the end, the movie was worth seeing.
I’ve been listening to . . . James Morrison’s latest single Demons. It’s from his new album Higher Than Here, which releases today. Love that soulful voice!
