Moments that Matter

These entries are about those seemingly small yet powerful moments—moments that matter, moments that restore my faith, moments that make me smile, moments of awe, moments if gratitude, and moments of love.

These entries are about those seemingly small yet powerful moments—moments that matter, moments that restore my faith, moments that make me smile, moments of awe, moments if gratitude, and moments of love.

So I’m writing posts called Moments that Matter. With these entries, I hope to capture those random acts of kindness, those moments that are just plain happy and bring joy in an instant, and those moments that can define what love really is. This is my first entry of more to come!

The other day in the grocery stores as I was going up the escalator with my bags, I looked down, in a quick moment, saw a mother holding her baby, smiling down at this sleeping baby with so much love and joy on her face. It felt like such a pure moment.

Looking at this mom, she was in her own world––just her and her baby. I felt like I was spying on a very intimate and personal moment. I was so grateful to bear witness to the pure love of a mother with her child. I smiled. And I felt pure joy in my heart. It was then that I realized love isn’t always some big, grand thing. Happiness doesn’t take a lot or big efforts. Love and joy are in those moments, those random moments that matter so much.
